Freelance educators needed

Brixton Windmill seeks freelance workshop facilitators to deliver our schools’ education programme (term time only). 

At Brixton Windmill we offer school groups an opportunity to immerse themselves in their local heritage with an educational visit to the mill. We are currently expanding our team of freelance educators in preparation for the opening of our new education centre.

We require inspirational and passionate workshop facilitators able to deliver our programme to children at Nursery, Reception, KS1 and KS2 levels. Training will be provided to deliver four unique workshops at the windmill: Little Red Hen, Meet the Miller, Flour Power and Robbed of Wind.

Other requirements:

  • Previous teaching experience
  • Experience in heritage/cultural learning sector
  • Availability during term time
  • (Optional) Safeguarding and first aid trained 

Fixed fee £75 per workshop (workshops last between 1.5 and 2 hours).
